The main purpose of the Centre is to develop and deliver new curricula for e-learning in medical education in line with the Bologna Declaration.

Europe-wide partnerships shall be created in order to jointly develop medical curricula with other universities and allow for a harmonisation of higher medical education, facilitating higher mobility among students and promoting the development of comparable higher medical education across Europe.

The e-learning based curricula shall be designed under a common quality assurance system and permanently monitored by internal and external monitoring bodies.

Finally, the achievements shall serve as best-practices examples for other higher education initiatives and serve as showcase models for policy development at ministerial level.
