Objective: In Belgium, the complexity of the political and governance structure of the country makes it difficult for civil society organisations in French- and Dutch-speaking Belgium to work together, all the more to encourage political representatives to take responsibility and ownership of the creation of the comprehensive and concrete Action Plans against racism for all. Despite blatant situations, the political actors are not committed to dealing with the increase of Antisemitism, Afrophobia, Islamophobia and related discriminations nor engaged to addressing these issues in a determined manner. For the first time, the Coalition for an Inter-federal Action plan against racism (the NAPAR Coalition) has brought together organisations, large and small, from the North and the South of the country, to mobilise Civil Society actors. The Coalition has developed a Dossier of 11 propositions (independent monitoring of racism, reporting, positive action) that a NAPAR should comprise. The Civil society mobilisation for the co-creation of a quality Inter-federal Action plan against racism or Move4NAPAR aims to - Develop the capacity of the relevant Ministers of the different governments in Belgium to adopt quality Action Plans against Racism and to make them accountable to do so; - Empower the Coalition for an inter-federal action plan against racism to advocate and monitor the Action Plans that will be put in place in all regions and at the Federal level; - Empower the different stakeholders (presented further) to support the adoption of quality Action Plans against Racism in Belgium. Our Move4NAPAR project seeks to contribute to the effective implementation of EU law and policy, in the most advanced way possible, with the same protection given to all in the whole country
