Objective: The main objectives of the project “Vilnius International Film Festival KINO PAVASARIS” are: 1. to enhance the circulation, promotion, online and theatrical distribution of European audiovisual works within the Lithuania and abroad; 2. to increase audience engagement and interest in non-national European audiovisual content; 3. to promote development of audiences of all ages (especially young people) interested in European audiovisual works. To achieve these objectives the following activities will be implemented within the project: 1. The 27th edition of Vilnius International Film Festival KINO PAVASARIS, programming a significant proportion of non-national European works and aiming at activities targeted to expand and renew audiences, will be implemented in 2022. 2. The 28th edition of Vilnius International Film Festival KINO PAVASARIS, programming a significant proportion of non-national European works and aiming at activities targeted to expand and renew audiences, will be implemented in 2023. It is expected that each year during the two weeks of the festival approximately 140 high-quality films (out of which around 110 are European non-national audiovisual works) will be presented to Lithuanian audience all over the country online and in cinemas. Around 80 additional events (interviews, discussions, Q&A sessions, masterclasses, contests etc.) will be offered to the audience physically and online. The planned number of the audience – approximately 100 000 spectators in cinemas and 20 000 views on digital streaming platforms. It is foreseen that using an attractive and effective strategy for attracting new audiences every year at least 5% of the audience will be new spectators and the significant part (at least 25%) of the audience – young people up to 29 years old.
