Borssele NPP Safety improvements

Client: Elektriciteits-ProduktieMaatschappij (EPZ) N.V. / KernEnergieCentrale Borssele.

Together with Cofely Zuid-West, Tractebel Engineering was in charge of the engineering and implementing safety-related technical modifications at Borssele nuclear power plant.

As part of this EPCM contract we made fifteen safety improvements, in several areas of the plant. The modifications resulted from EPZ’s periodic safety review performed in 2003. Tractebel Engineering was responsible for the overall project management, the system engineering, the I&C engineering and the civil engineering.

All the modifications took place within the timeframe of the plant’s outage.
