Objective: Children have highly suffered during the Covid-19 health crisis. In 2020, WHO points a significant increase in violence against children by their parents, family members, caregivers or peers. The objective of the project is to combat domestic violence, and in particular, Ordinary Educational Violence against children (OEV) taking into account the impact of the Covid-19 through the participation of children, parents and school professionals, and, in line with the EU Strategy on the Rights of the Child and the EU Strategy on victims' rights. Activities: - Participatory workshops with children - Training sessions with parents - Capacity building workshops with school professionals - Advisory committee meetings - Communication and awareness raising activities on OEV in the context of the Covid-19 - Advocacy activities for the adoption of the legislation against OEV at national level Beneficiaries: - Primary school children - Parents - Professionals working in primary schools - General public - Relevant policymakers Expected results: - Children are aware of the support child victims services and action them - Parents use positive parenting methods - Professionals detect and prevent OEV on children and use non-violent educational methods - General public is in favour of non-violent educational methods - The law prohibiting OEV is adopted at national level - The results of the project are disseminated in Belgium and in Europe through the dissemination strategy Deliverables: - 3 child-friendly tools on OEV taking into account the impact of the Covid - 1 pedagogical guide for professionals on how to deliver participatory workshops with children (FR & ENG) - 1 training guide for professionals on how to deliver training sessions with parents (FR & ENG) - 1 participant’s handbook for the parents (FR & ENG) - 1 toolkit for professionals on how to detect and prevent OEV taking into account the impact of the Covid-19 (FR & ENG) - 1 raising awareness video (FR & ENG)
