Objective
Eurostat and countries associated with the ESS are engaged in a lot of activities related to globalization and increasing complexity of the activities of multinational enterprise groups (MNEs), which should affect production of high-quality, consistent statistics at national and European level. One of the ways to improve the quality of information on MNEs and enterprises that are part of them is profiling. Carrying out works in area 1: European Profiling in implementation of the European profiling programme, which Poland would like to join under this project, is consistent with the directions of work specified by Eurostat. The aim of the work in area 1 is obtain high-quality, consistent and up-to-date information on the most significant multinational enterprises and include this information in the nSBR and the EGR register. The main result of the work in the project will be profiling of 16 multinational enterprise groups as a GDC country. These groups will be selected from the EGR with an emphasis on groups selected for the European Profiling Program. Other activities planned to be performed under the project: performing partner profiling for at least 20 groups, collecting and submitting to Eurostat information about changes that will take place in UCI in 2022, describing the collaboration between the profilers, Business Registers/ EuroGroups Register and national users to select the prioritized MNEs for European Profiling Programme. The profiling results will be submitted to Eurostat via IPT tool.
