Objective: The European Youth Forum is the biggest youth platform in the world, bringing together the voices of millions of young people and advocating towards European and international decision-makers to strengthen the youth perspective in key political processes. Its network is composed of 44 National Youth Councils and 61 International Youth NGOs. Through its membership the Youth Forum's grassroots extend to roughly 6000 youth organisations, affecting directly 40 million young people and indirectly over 150 million of young people living in the Council of Europe Member States. The European Youth Forum represents the interests of European youth and advocates towards European and international stakeholders for the recognition of youth rights, for more youth participation, for stronger youth organisations, for the social and economic inclusion of young people and for a greener, more sustainable Europe. YFJ forms a bridge between European young people and the EU, Council of Europe and international institutions bringing the opinions and needs of young people to high level policy-makers with the aim of jointly forging a more youth-friendly and future-proof Europe. YFJ engages in large-scale capacity building for its members, increasing awareness and understanding of policy processes and making the connection between European and national level. In line with the 2020-2023 Strategic Plan adopted by the organisation's membership, the Operating grant 2021 enables the implementation of more than 50+ Objectives and 100+ Key results in the course of 12 months. The 100+ activities will target European and international policy-makers, the platform's 107 Member Organisations, external stakeholders active within and beyond the youth sector, as well as European young people. Some of the expected outputs include: policy documents and advocacy materials, research papers, capacity-building trainings, events and workshops for the membership, and statutory meetings.
