Description

Programme(s): Erasmus+ Programme (ERASMUS)-undefined

Topic: ERASMUS-YOUTH-2022-CSC-OG

Type of action: ERASMUS Operating Grants

Project ID: 101075075

Objective: In 2022, CEJA will continue the implementation of the two-year policy programme “The road to sustainability in agriculture” with the aim to identify good practices and policy solutions to be shared with EU decision-makers. CEJA will also foster the involvement of its members organising 10 statutory meetings during which position papers will be drafted, discussed, and approved. During those meetings, external stakeholders (research, industry, consumers) will be invited to share their thoughts. This will allow CEJA’s members to discuss with different perspectives and to establish a holistic approach of the subject. In 2022, the topics discussed will be “animal welfare and sustainable livestock”, “plants and new genomic techniques”, “CAP Strategic Plans”, “smart farmers for a smarter farming: knowledge and skills for the future of agriculture” and “access to land”. Policy recommendations will be drawn by young farmers and disseminated with decision-makers and other stakeholders. In order to reinforce CEJA membership, transnational networking and capacity-building, dedicated moments will be organised during working groups to address the education and personal growth of the members on specific topics and facilitate their acquisition of skills. CEJA will continue to be active on social media to reach a broad spectrum of the general public with its messages and the young people it represents. In 2022, CEJA will also implement dedicated communication campaigns in the context of the Conference on the Future of Europe and the European Year of Youth 2022, including the campaign #RuralYouthforEU. In addition, CEJA will continue to promote young farmer’s lives to a broad audience in order to convey a positive and constructive message about how they face the current challenges and which solutions they put in place in order to be more sustainable. These actions are aimed to get closer to young farmers and other youth groups, particularly those living in urban areas.
