Provision of Basic Package of Health Services (BPHS) and Essential Package of Hospital Services (EPHS) In Ten Provinces of Afghanistan - Provision of Essential Package of Hospital Services (EPHS) in Laghman Province

The global objective of the programme is to reduce avoidable morbidity and mortality among the population living in ten EU funded province, especially women and children. The purpose of this programme is to provide quality and equitable public health services and care to the population, under the stewardship of the MoPH at its central and provincial levels.

The specific objective of this Call for Proposals is the full implementation of the (BPHS) and of the (EPHS). The BPHS and EPHS form the backbone strategy of the MoPH for Primary Health Care and for Secondary Care. The need of complementing both packages with vertical programmes (e.g. Polio Eradication) still exists.
