Description

Technologists, Inc. (Ti) designed and built a new campus facility for the Afghanistan National Army (ANA), Infantry Kandak at Camp Shaheen in Balkh Province, Afghanistan.

Preliminary work for this task included design, site survey and geotechnical investigation, master planning, as-built drawings, and unexploded ordnance (UXO) de-mining. Ti built over a dozen buildings, including an administration building, barracks, laundry building, training building, weapons storage, warehouse storage, personnel bunkers, trash collection points, and the main headquarters building.

Ti installed a power distribution system and communications infrastructure to all new base buildings. Ti also designed and constructed the entire road system for the compound.

Client: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Afghanistan Engineer District.
