Objective: Entitled as “JM Chair for EU's Circular Economy Policies and Sustainability” (CESPEU), this project aims to increase awareness on EU’s economic integration, industrial policy and circularity transformation in the economy and sustainability while stimulating further research in different dimensions of this transformation. The Circular Economy Action Plan (CEAP) is one of the main building blocks of the European Green Deal that was adopted by the European Commission in March 2020. The European Green Deal aims to boost the efficient use of resources, circular economy and stop climate change, restore biodiversity and cut pollution. The courses and activities in the project will facilitate understanding how economic integration and transformation in Europe work with respect to industrial policy and circular and sustainable approach. Meanwhile, the courses will aim to develop an insight to EU's circular economy policy, sustainable and innovative solutions whilst increasing the visibility of the EU-related studies within such a significant topic in Turkey. The modules are designed as elective courses for all related departments in undergraduate and graduate level. It is vital to offer CESPEU courses to promote EU related studies; to create an awareness of industrial policy and circularity of Turkish economy through EU and to emphasize the role of EU in constructing a sustainable economic system adapted to EU and business application of circularity in business models. These modules will promote sustainable and innovative thinking for students. The CESEU is based on three major components: 1. Courses and summer schools designed for undergraduate, MA, Ph.D. students. 2. Workshops designed for a wider group of graduate students, faculty, and researchers. 3. A seminar series geared to general public opinion.
