Design for Alternative Bid for Taeba~Miro 2-1 Road Construction

Ordering Organization: Dongbu Construction.

The project section, Taebaek ~ Miro 2-1, of National Road No. 38, was implemented as an alternative bid for detailed design for tunnel (Dogye 1,2 tunnel) in order to accelerate national balanced development, make smooth traffic flow with the establishment of a plan for new road construction, and improvement of an existing road to ensure the capacity for traffic demand in future. Location of construction is Heungjeon to Magya Villages, alternative design section is 4.46km of original design section, 11.03km. One characteristic of this project route is that is passes through residential area, and the surrounding area will be assigned for land development. Due to these plans, the project road is moved underground to avoid structures, ensure safety, and conserver the natural environment.
