Procurement subject: Nepal Participatory Rural Reconstruction Project (Agricultural Development)

Purpose: Specific responsibilities are as follows:

First Domestic Preparatory WorkCollect and analyze information necessary for expert work, such as policies, policies and plans of central and local governments in the agricultural sector of Nepal. In addition, in the context of the reconstruction of Nepal's agricultural sector, we will collect and analyze information on the efforts of the government and donors (2-3 cases) that have produced high results. ÿ The achievements, issues, and lessons learned from JICA's cooperation in the agricultural sector in Nepal (especially the "Sindhuli Road Area Commercial Agriculture Promotion Project" that supported market-oriented agriculture, etc.), and the CRP of this project Analyze the applicability ofÿ Receive briefings on project activities, progress and implementation system from JICA project managers, individual project experts, local agricultural consultants, outsourced NGOs, etc., and consider future work plans.

Regarding the medium-term and annual plans formulated by the four pilot local governments, receive the latest versions from individual experts directly managed, check the contents of those agricultural sector descriptions, and summarize issues and suggestions for improvement.Regarding CRP (6 cases) in the agricultural sector implemented in the 1st cycle, after receiving detailed information from individual project experts, etc., the content (implementation
plan, training plan, procurement plan, etc.) review. Towards the completion of the 1st cycle in mid-July 2022, we will analyze the issues and propose items to be addressed during the onsite work. It also extracts lessons learned for the second cycle. ÿ Necessary follow-up for agricultural CRP implemented in the 1st cycle Consider and plan activities

Second Domestic Preparatory Work

Regarding the progress of CRP in the agricultural sector in the 2nd cycle, interviews will be conducted with individual project experts, local government officials in charge of agriculture, and outsourced NGOs, and issues and countermeasures will be considered.
