Procurement Subject: Project to improve household income of farmers by strengthening domestic rice production in Timor-Leste Project (support for small-scale irrigation canal structure improvement)

Purpose: This project aims to

(1) improve the farming techniques of rice farmers in the selected regions,

(2) strengthen the capacity to maintain and manage irrigation facilities,

(3) build a model for the distribution and sale of domestic rice by the private sector, and

(4) purchase/ distribution system of domestic rice by the government.

(5) sharing the lessons learned from the project with other prefectures;

The plan is to improve the agricultural income of farm households in the target area through rice production through improvement of rice production, distribution, distribution, sales and consumption, thereby contributing to the improvement of the livelihood of farm households.
