Objective:
In June/September 2023, the village of Ziharec will to celebrate its XXVIII. Ziharec Days. The aim of project is primarily the long-term cooperation
the twinning towns with the organizer of this project (Ziharec), because with the first twinning municipality (Ugod from Hungary) was signed the
twinning agreement yet in 1998. Since then, the municipality of Ziharec signed a partnership with the four twinned municipalities (Viszak from
Hungary, Sic from Romania, Mera from Romania and Doroslovo from Serbia). In 2016, at the last Ziharec Days, the twinning agreement was
signed between primary schools – among the local elementary school Ziharec and elementary school Doroslovo. So we can talk about the longterm development of bilateral relations at the international level. Pupils from these primary schools will find new friends and they can measure their
forces and their knowledge in various activities. Activities that will be implemented in the framework of meeting will be built to support the primarily
the mutual understanding, intercultural dialogue and also activities that will address to the younger generation. The program will be created to suit
everyone. The organizer of the project will include in the project except for individual activities also workshops, seminars and debates in framework
which can to devote to many important issue. In addition to traditional activities such as cultural events, sporting events, exhibitions, programs for
children, which held annually, it will be conducted seminars on themes of the European Parliament and the future of the EU and also
Euroscepticism today. They are multi-annual priority themes in framework of the Europe for Citizens program, which means that the organizer of
this meeting will also address with these themes and priorities for the next Ziharec Days. In the future, more seminars are planned with highranking officials, who operate in the European Union, who would talk to the public about the importance of the EU in Europe.
