Objective:
Establishing a Jean Monnet Chair in European Digital Law of the Person, of the Contract and of the Technological Marketplace EUDILA, within the
study courses offered by Department of Business Engineering at UNITOV, aims to promote teaching, researching and networking activities in the
crucial area of EU Digital Law, by introducing, through a mixed training methodology combining technical with legal digital subjects, a solid
knowledge-base on the legal aspects of digital innovation that have so far been neglected in engineering education. The main objective of EUDILA
is to acquire new knowledge, awareness and new job opportunities - through an interdisciplinary approach with an European perspective - in favour
of at least 50 students per year – especially engineering students, who are not familiar with EU studies, and Law students - professors,
researchers, authorities, associations and institutions, including GdF, involved in specific training activities, such as cybersecurity, an
interdisciplinary approach with an European perspective. Focusing on the European citizen in his multiple roles of consumer and prosumer of
digital services and interested party under GDPR, EUDILA has a innovative impact not only on the Department of Business Engineering, raising
the level of the teaching offer, but especially on students, increasing their skills, facilitating professional orientation, also through internships, and
allowing them to access post-graduate certification of Data Protection Officer’s profile. EUDILA implements academic communication channels with
a project website and a Facebook page. All the scientific material, including the final Monograph, is freely and permanently accessible, including to
students with special needs. The added value of EUDILA lies in the innovativeness of the course on the Italian university scene, as it combines
technical and legal expertise and involves not only university staff but also representatives from a wide range of background.
