This consultancy will analyze the current landscape of industrial parks in Mexico and identify opportunities for adoption of the International Framework for Eco-Industrial Parks. It will assess the economic and financial benefits associated with transitioning to more environmentally and socially friendly operations and how this could influence global value chains within the industrial parks. The final results will help develop a clear picture of EIP opportunities in Mexico and the required policy and financial mechanisms needed in order to facilitate the transition. It will lay out the financial and economic benefits for businesses to locate in an EIP and the benefits of associated global value chains. It will also assess the current levels of emissions from industrial parks and the potential net benefits from an EIP approach.
