Bangsamoro Political Party Building (BPPB)

Project details:

(1) To train and educate Muslim, Christian and Indigenous groups in order to enable them for active political participation under a parliamentary system.
(2) To empower stakeholders to transform their groups and operate them as functional genuine programmatic political parties based on the rule of law.

Results:
Result 1: Genuine political parties and political movements have been established operating in the Bangsamoro.
Result 2: Civil society groups have gained sound understanding of active political participation under the political system of the Bangsamoro.
Result 3: Political parties and their respective groups in parliament have gained advanced knowledge on parliamentary systems.

Target Groups:
750 Leaders/ members from political parties, 550 people working in CSOs (sectoral leaders from indigenous people, women), 50 (Regional and local) Political leaders, 75 BTC as well as Government Agencies and Journalists and Media.

Activities:

Orientation seminars about parliamentary systems in general, the provisions of the Bangsamoro Basic Law regarding the parliamentary system, the role of political parties related to this matter and the characteristics of genuine principled political parties.
Training seminars on organizational matters, programmatic development, membership management, party finance, communication for regional party leaders.
Publications and lecture material illustrating the aforementioned contents.
Consulting series on practical matters (including formal registration) for developing non-extremist, pro-Bangsamoro parties.
Monitoring of stabilization processes in party building during the campaigning period.
