Description: Construction of the road network adjacent to the Port of Paramaribo and the bridge in the Van ‘t Hogerhuysstraat across the Saramacca Canal

The Scope of the Works consists of demolition, removal, and reconstruction of the bridge across the Saramacca Canal in the van ‘t Hogerhuysstraat; extending the bridge from a 1 x 3 lane bridge to a 2 x 3 lane Carriageway, bicycle and pedestrian lanes.

Reconstruction of the roads:

  • Martin Luther Kingweg (from Latourweg to Saramacca Canal);
  • Van ‘t Hogerhuysstraat bridge over the Sarammacca Canal, replacing the current threelane (3- lane) bridge with an expanded six lane (6-lane) bridge;
  • Van ‘t Hogerhuysstraat (from Saramacca Canal to Molenpad);
  • Slangenhoutstraat (from Van’t Hogerhuysstraat to Hernhutterstraat);
  • Hernhutterstraat (from Slangenhoutstraat to the Willem Campagnestraat);
  • Willem Campagnestraat (between Hernhutterstraat and Van’t Hogerhuysstraat); and
  • The Molenpad.
