UNICEF's Office of Innovation encourages a transdisciplinary approach to identifying and subsequently developing innovation solutions that improve children's lives around the world. Currently, innovations and emerging information from a wide variety of sectors related to the Sustainable Development Goals lives in documents. Firsthand was contracted to bring the two dimensional page to life in an interactive, information node system. Firsthand's design process began with a divergent audit—understanding interactive design, looking for inspiration around the concepts of discovery and exploration. Once a conceptual direction was chosen, wireframes were developed and design to involve key stakeholders to shape the design and information hierarchy of the node platform. At the conclusion of the project, FIrsthand delivered a final brand book, updated wireframe design, and recommendation for website programming.
