Feasibility Study for the Reorganisation of the Port of Olbia

Detailed project description: The project aims to conduct a feasibility study for the reorganisation of the vehicle flows within and around the Port of Olbia, optimisation of the existing spaces, design of ITS systems and improvement of mobility from/to the port.

Type: 

• Collection and analysis of regulatory and planning instruments concerning the Olbia port and related urban and transport aspects.
• Analysis of the current procedures of port management and recurrent criticalities, and identification of solutions to improve the functionality and profitability of the port.
• Preliminary projects regarding the fundamental aspects of the reorganisation of the port:
• Reorganisation of vehicle flows affecting the port and related management procedures.
• Design of the reorganisation of the road system of the Port which, in addition to optimising the existing spaces, identifies clear and protected routes for vulnerable users (pedestrians, cyclists, people with disabilities, etc.).
• Design of ITS systems and, in general, of IT tools necessary to ensure efficient communication/organisation between all the subjects involved in the management of the Port, as well as timely and clear communication to the users of the Port.
• Design of innovative solutions for the improvement of mobility within/from/to the Port, such as car sharing, bike sharing, car-pooling solutions, and electric mobility solutions.
• Cost estimation for the implementation of all identified interventions
