Objective:

The project aims at sharing the knowledge about the EU among the students of the Agora University of Oradea through developing two courses (lecture + seminar) on the process of monitoring the democracy and enhancing the democracy level in Romania. The specific objectives of this project are: OS1. To improve the students' understanding of European governance and its complex institutions, policies, regulations, history. The two courses are From EU Level to National Level: Enhancing Democracy in Romania and Monitoring democracy and the EU citizenship. OS2. To increase the level of research on the social mentality and the monitoring mechanism of the common goods and the management of public money, the civic engagement as a precursor of a democratic society and the social responsibility within the EU. There will be written at least three research papers in total and we will submit them to indexed journals. OS3. To conduct the research and roundtable debates/ focus groups and the panel of the international conference in a manner that fosters citizen science and the knowledge transfer between the teachers and the „practitioners”: members of local authorities, NGOs, companies, students and other representatives of the civil society. The project has 5 work packages: WP 1 – Teaching (2 courses – for all students in our university); WP 2 – Researching (conducting research for 3 articles and publish the papers in indexed journals); WP 3 – Organizing events (3 roundtable debates/ focus groups and organizing 1 panel of the international conference held at our university); WP 4 – Dissemination and communication of results (the course materials published on the project webpage, creating a webpage of the project, submission of two press releases –beginning and project end); WP 5 – Project management (financial management, human resources management, reporting, planning, monitoring and evaluating the achievement of the project results).
