Contract Description: Hyderabad Climate Action Plan and studies on urban mobility, lake revitalization and green industry

The main objectives of the proposed studies are to support the Government of Telangana to address urban climate change by (i) developing a Climate Change Action plan, GHG inventory and identify investment options for low carbon and resilient development in the Hyderabad Metropolitan area (including area covered both by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority and the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation) and, (ii) undertake targeted studies to develop recommendations and investments options for enhancing lake rejuvenation, improve last mile connectivity and improve industrial processing/ relocate polluting firms in one major cluster and revitalize polluted land. The World Bank team is seeking the services of a qualified consultant firm known for doing high quality and timely work with multi-sector expertise in urban climate change, urban mobility, lake restoration, infrastructure finance, industrial clusters and expertise relevant to this assignment.
