Title: Supply and delivery of a PCB Dechlorination System

Description of Contract: This contract is for the supply and delivery of a PCB Dechlorination system for Nigeria.

The system shall have a capacity to ensure, within one year from its installation, the treatment of:

1200 tons of PCB contaminated oil out of which around 50 tons with a PCB contamination in the range 500 to 10000 ppm, with a target concentration lower than 20ppm;
300 tons of transformer carcasses / internal equipment to be decontaminated, with a target PCB contamination level PCB below 10 µg/100 cm2.

The system shall include:

  • A draining – retrofilling processing unit for draining PCB contaminated oil from transformers, and for retrofilling treated transformers with PCB-free oil.
  • Temporary (interim) storage for PCB contaminated oil and treated dielectric oil that are pending further treatment or stored for retro-filling
  • A stand alone processing unit for the decontamination of the empty carcasses of EOL transformers, and their internal component.
  • A stand alone processing unit for the non-combustion treatment of PCB contaminated dielectric oil.
  • A processing unit (either stand alone or integrated with other component) for the reconditioning “as new” of dielectric oil after decontamination.
