Tender Name: Indonesia-Aotearoa New Zealand Geothermal Energy Programme/ Panaas bumi Indonesia-Aotearoa New Zealand Kerjasama (PINZ)

Description: The Aotearoa New Zealand IDC has a large Renewable Energy development cooperation programme in Indonesia, which includes a focus on geothermal energy. To date, Aotearoa New Zealand support in Indonesia’s geothermal energy sector has focused on two areas:
1. Accelerating geothermal energy development by providing technical assistance and capacity building. This has involved; improving sector planning and technical regulation; developing geothermal exploration and geo-science capability; developing Indonesia geothermal organisation’s understanding of infrastructure financing, investment, advisory services and project development; and supporting risk mitigation funding mechanisms for geothermal exploration.
2. Delivering geothermal training support to the sector. This has involved increasing industry workforce skills and capability through improving the geothermal training provided by Indonesian education institutions and providing training support for geothermal companies.
