Objective:
This Grant Application compiled by Euroguidance Malta, under the remit of the National School Support Services, Directorate for Educational Services, Ministry for Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation is in line with the national policy objectives. The initiatives suggested, aim to provide the required environment to the development of a European dimension in lifelong guidance through the creation of fora that will bring together all stakeholders involved in career guidance provision. This context will also help in the discussions on the innovations taking place in the world of work. On a European level, EG MT will enhance its strategic cooperation in the area of lifelong guidance through its involvement and active participation in the EG Network Meetings besides direct participation with other international organisations. Improving the level of key competences of our guidance practitioners is a key priority for EG Malta. This will be reflected in the CPD opportunities offered. Raising awareness about international mobility will be prioritised. Such opportunities will be promoted, and experiences shared on the EG MT website. EG MT plans to conduct research in collaboration with the Malta Career Guidance Association on adult lifelong guidance - an area of research much needed on the local level, develop a career guidance directory for service users, upgrade the website, and print careers related resources which will serve as tools which will support them with the knowledge required in order to make informed decisions. These tools will also help schools in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the career education and career guidance programme for students. Since EG MT falls under the remit of NSSS, and the latter is responsible for the career guidance service within state schools and colleges, the actions outlined in WP3 will complement the career guidance service and ae in line with the objectives outlined. EG MT also works closely with other major local stakeholders involved in career guidance provision.
