Description: Biosafety Cabinet Removal and Replacement

Technical Requirements / Tasks:
1. Decontamination, removal, and replacement (including certification) of eleven (11) existing BSCs shall occur in a minimum of two phases where no more than six (6) BSCs are non-operational at the same time due to activities associated with this project. For the sack of clarity, this Scope of Work describes the requirements of the entire project unless specifically stated otherwise.

2. Decontaminate eleven (11) existing BSCs ranging in size from 4-6 feet width and located within a single building in the same hallway. Methods of decontamination and disposal must follow NSF/ANSI Standard 49, Annex E (Biosafety Cabinet Selection, Installation, Use, Lifespan, and Decommissioning Biosafety Cabinet Selection, Installation, Use, Lifespan, and Decommissioning) and shall only be performed by qualified technicians.

3. Remove eleven (11) decontaminated BSCs and transport to a predetermined location within the same customer facility for pickup or disposal. Contractor will determine the most efficient method of disposal including but not inclusive of pick up by contractor carrier or removal by local scrapping entity. Note: Customer will be responsible for disconnection of mechanical, plumbing, or electrical services to BSC prior to removal.

4. Supply BSC as shown in items 4 and 5. No more than six (6) units shall be delivered to customer at one time. Shipment of BSCs must be received at the location between one (1) to ten (10) business days prior to installation for each phase. Customer will provide an indoor location within the same building for short-term storage of the equipment. This location shall be readily accessible to the shipping/receiving area and elevators for transporting BSCs to installation site.
