Objective: "Aiming to promote equal opportunities and access in SPORT, using Judo as an innovative tool for addressing the priority “Inclusion and Diversity”, the JUDO 4-SEN project wants to organize a Europeanwide JUDO EVENT designed for the inclusion of a specific disability, known as “Special Educational Needs” (SEN or SEND, Special Educational Needs and Disability). JUDO 4-SEN project is based on the high-scale application of the educational innovative approach called “CONATIVE METHOD” through which the sport practice is considered, not highlighting the competitive aspect of the sport, but its functional
scope, useful for pursuing the socio-psycho-physical well-being of young people according to a reference model based on the concepts of wellness and health. JUDO 4-SEN project’s general objective is to organize the International JUDO Event #JOIN THE JUDO OPEN-TO-ALL APPROACH, involving 13 organizations from 12 European Countries, allowing young people with SEND to practice JUDO activities designed for all, contributing to breaking down physical and mental barriers related to disability and enabling the creation of new friendships in a significant social context. Learning paths #TOWARDS the JUDO OPEN-TO-ALL APPROACH are also organized to provide Judo Master, teacher and coaches with the right instructions for practicing a Judo support program based on Conative Method for young people with SEND, using Judo as an innovative tool for social inclusion and for enhancing positive sociality, personal and collective wellbeing and the sense of community. A richly interactive communication strategy aimed to maximize the project impact on the target groups: SEND, athletes, sport organizations and Judo clubs, decision-makers, Sport Movements and Associations, Organisations active in the field of social inclusion and disability will be increasingly attracted and engaged in the project's progress to guarantee exploitation and sustainability of each result."
