Objective: "The ""Keep the Ball Rolling – KBR"" initiative is dedicated to enhance sports involvement, promote healthier lifestyles, and advancing inclusivity across diverse age groups in South East Europe, with the main focus on basketball, facilitated by a consortium of seven partner organizations from Serbia, Cyprus, Croatia, Romania, Turkey, and Bulgaria. KBR actively engages over 1500 individuals in 6 main sports events and include more than 300 participants in workshops that concentrate on inclusivity and health, in the partner countries. Additionally, it plans to involve over 700 people through presentations, meetings, and conferences, further broadening its impact. The project creates a Network of Basketball Veterans of SEE which underlines commitment to essential EU principles, such as non-discrimination and tolerance, while promoting sportsmanship and inclusive practices within sports. This multifaceted approach does not only seek to increase sports participation and tackle discrimination; it also aims to cultivate a broad-based culture of health and equality. The establishment of a network, combined with strategic partnerships and the development and definition of strategic directions, underpins the overall project objective to promote sports, healthy lifestyles and inclusion through sports for people of all ages and to create a cooperation network of basketball veterans clubs to promote and encourage active aging to people living in South Eastern Europe."
