Description

Programme(s): Internal Security Fund (ISF)
Topic(s): ISF-2024-TF2-AG-ECTEG-IBA
Type of action: ISF Project Grants
Project ID: 101228076

Objective:  The project's overall objective is to contribute to tackling cybercrime and all forms of crime facilitated by new technologies. This will address law enforcement needs, including digital forensics, cybercrime and online investigations, decryption, and standardisation. To achieve this, the project will provide training resources to support capacity-building activities and produce materials (courses, processes, exercises) freely accessible by European law enforcement authorities. Furthermore, the action aims to improve synergies, coherence, and quality in supporting activities and provide technical and pedagogical standards for developing and deploying the training packages delivered at the international and national levels. Moreover, the action aims to establish working synergies with relevant stakeholders in the cyber ecosystem to maximise the efforts channelled in this area. ECTEG will invest in developing dedicated working agreements and activities with the European Anti-Cybercrime Technology Development Association (EACTDA) and other relevant partners. Additionally, the action aims to improve the course development and deployment process by providing e-learning development standards that facilitate the sharing, translation, and localisation of education materials. This will include establishing reliable Key Performance Indicators to measure ECTEG efforts and stakeholder engagement. Support for national and regional deployments will be provided. The mutualisation of course development IT resources, including translation and localisation features, will provide efficient cooperation between the EU MS LEAs and encourage expertise sharing.
