Objective: "The ""Teacher Academy for a Future-oriented STEAM Education for a Sustainable World"" (FEDORAS Academy) aims to regenerate educational ecosystems, by valuing schools as main drivers of social innovation. The activities of the FEDORAS Academy, targeted to preservice and in-service secondary school teachers, will refer to STEAM topics (climate change, artificial intelligence, sustainability, and nanoor quantum technologies). The project roots in the recommendations of the H2020 FEDORA project, emphasizing interdisciplinary in STEAM education, creative thinking, and future thinking as thematic pillars to align schooling with our complex and fast-changing society. These themes are tailored to enhance the GreenComp competences in teaching STEAM subjects for the green transition. The Academy's structure revolves around a network of five Open Schooling Networks (OSNs), inspired by the open schooling model from the H2020 SEAS project. This model promotes co-design, co-teaching and co-learning within interdisciplinary, multi-actor contexts, fostering dynamic interactions between a variety of schools and society stakeholders. The project also emphasizes enhanced mobility to foster intellectual and professional engagement, ensuring coherence between virtual and physical mobility. By coordinating local, national, and European educational activities, and collaborating with other Teacher Academies like CLIMADEMY, the Academy aims to create a robust and wide network and promote mobility. Grounded in the findings of a European Union research projects recognized by the European Commission, FEDORAS Academy aspires to transform teacher education also by the development of concrete resources and tools, including tools for participatory co-design and assessment. A comprehensive, multi-dimensional assessment framework will span content, aims and values, practices, learning environments, relational and institutional dynamics."
