Description

The Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (Metrowater) signed a bulk water purchase agreement (BWPA) with IVRCL Infrastructures & Projects Ltd. (IIPL) of India to purchase water from the plant for 25 years from date of commencement of production.

Technical Data:

    Capacity: 100,000 m³/day desalinated water
    Quality: WHO Standard, max. 5 NTU
    500 ppm TDS
    Feed stock: surface seawater, ca. 35 g/l TDS, ca. 50 mg/l TSS, no oil and grease, low TOC
    Technology: Reverse Osmosis (RO)
    5 x 20 MLD RO process units
