The grantee is the first non-profit organization focused on growing and supporting the Latinx venture capital ecosystem through its community of over 150 experienced Latinx venture capital professionals. The organization aims to increase the representation of Latinx professionals in venture capital, help Latinx venture investors build their careers and networks, improve access to capital for Latinx-led venture firms, and serve as a reliable source of education and data for the industry. It holds annual events, provides mentorship and training programs, and produces an annual report that generates useful data on Latinx representation in this field. This award supports an organizational strategic planning effort to establish a stable foundation and sustainable growth path. The key beneficiaries of this project are venture capital professionals from historically marginalized communities, which in turn, supports entrepreneurs from these same communities through increased access to capital.
