Chicago Commitment

Established in 1997, the organization fosters health, wellness, and healing by organizing for social change, cultivating the arts, and operating a holistic health center. Located on Chicago's South Side, it provides transitional jobs and housing support to formerly incarcerated individuals; manages both a community grocery store and a food pantry; offers ceramics classes and art therapy to community members, art students, and local creatives; and works to improve the quality of life for nearby residents. This gift supports it as part of the Civic Partnerships area of the Chicago Commitment.
