Descruption: Consultancy to develop a set of Aggregate Mining Guidelines for the Kingdom of Tonga

Objectives
The objectives of the consultancy are:
1. To develop best-practice environmental guidelines with an accompanying operating
manual for use by the mining operators and environmental assessors, addressing establishment of mining projects and management of impacts during operation and transportation
2. To develop processes for rehabilitation of quarry sites, including restoration of ecosystems or of agricultural productivity; and
3. To deliver a training to inform environmental assessors, aggregate mining operators,
and departmental staff, supporting compliance with expanded guidelines for new and
existing aggregate mining operations.

Duration: The work will be carried out for up to 50 consultancy days over four (4) months.
