Contract name: Construction Supervision of School Reconstruction in Jajarkot and Rukum West District under DRSP 

Contract description: It is envisaged that under DRSP, at least 12000 students from 30 schools from Jajarkot and Rukum West will be benefited from safe, child and disable friendly, GESI and climate responsive 330 class rooms in 30 schools by utilizing the remaining fund in line with school reconstruction plans to disaster-resilient standards and equipped with water and sanitation facilities, science and ICT labs including sex-disaggregated toilet facilities. The schools differ in size from basic (1 to 8) and higher secondary (9 to 12). The main objective of hiring the consulting firm's service is construction supervision of the proposed reconstruction work of schools in Jajarkot and West Rukum district including procurement and construction management and financial management of the project at central level and to support CLPIU for supervision and payment of ongoing DRSP reconstruction and retrofitting projects.

i. to assist project director of CLPIU in the implementation of DRSP in project management, procurement proceedings, and reporting etc.
ii. to assist the CLPIU to access the detailed site exploration and geotechnical investigation of the proposed site to be carried by contractor.
iii. construction supervision and quality assurance of the proposed works including new construction, and retrofitting of existing buildings ensuring compliance to design standards and specification.
iv. construction supervision, final verification and recommendation for payment of ongoing DRSP reconstruction and retrofitting projects including defect notifying, supervision of defect correction.
v. design revision/ update if required during implementation.
vi. monitoring of the contractor’s work performance and implementation progress tracking on a real time basis.
vii. Periodic Reporting to client and conducting meeting between client and contractors.
viii. to assist the project director for financial management including cost control, reimbursement and disbursement.
ix. to assist the project director for preparing social, environmental and gender safeguard measures and to monitor the implementation status of such measures during construction.
x. Any other tasks as required during project implementation and as assigned by the CLPIU.
