Description: Aberdeen Plant Material Center (PMC) Removal and Replacement of Two (2) HVAC Systems
Scope: remove and replace two rooftop HVAC units on the Plant Materials Center (PMC) office building in Aberdeen, Idaho. Work includes full labor, equipment, tools, supervision, cleanup, and adherence to all applicable codes.
A. Removal of Existing HVAC Units:
- Disconnect existing units carefully for potential reuse.
- Lower units to ground level, place them on pallets, and strap them securely.
- Reuse pallets from new units or use pallets provided by PMC.
- Clean roof area after removal.
- Install two new rooftop heat pump/gas-backup hybrid units (1 × 7.5 ton, 1 × 10 ton).
- Connect units to existing:
- Ductwork
- Electrical lines
- Gas lines
- Control wiring for existing programmable thermostats
- Start up and test the system for proper operation.
- Contractor must dispose of debris and old materials except the replaced HVAC units.
