Description

The purpose of the project is to identify the exact location of the Unexploded Ordnances (UXO) resulting from the 1999 NATO air campaign and of any other ones in the Danube and Sava rivers. The Consultant has to ensure that in the rivers Danube and Sava the selected potential UXO locations are surveyed, searched and assessed to such a level that subsequently a Works Contractor can execute the clearance of the detected UXO. Clearance, removal and disposal of potential UXO is not part of this contract.

The tasks will include: permanent identification and mapping of detected and potential UXO; assessing of the contaminated areas, where detection is technically impossible or uneconomical; provision of all the information gathered during the execution of the survey and search activities to the Supervising Engineer to allow him to prepare a full tender dossier to remove the UXO and/or to clean the sites.
