Description

Location: Middle Jordan Valley

Name of client: Ministry of Water and Irrigation / Jordan

Detailed description of project:

The aim of project is transfer of water from Jordan River to Karameh Dam during flood period in the rate of 11.5 Million m3/year.

The project consists of construction, completion and maintenance of the following components:

  • Storage pond, with 110,000m3 capacity, lined with reinforced concrete and protected by a dike.
  • Reinforcecl concrete intake structure including gabian, looseriprap, and grouted riprap.
  • Pumping station, consisting of 4 vertical turbine pumps with acapacity of 1500 ml/hr each, within a sleet hunger 40mx20malong with the hungers utilities.
  • 1000mm steel pipeline with a tolal length of 2.2 km.
  • Service road 2.25 krn long, 8m wide along the route of the pipeline.
  • Settling basin, with 9,5ODmJ a capacity of lined with reinforced concrete.
  • 200m long embedded 800mm gravity steel pipeline.
  • Box culvert of total width of 3.5m and lolal length of 200m.
  • Underground wet wetl with total volume of 3,OOOm3
  • Electromechanical works (control panel, transformer, Electromagenlic flow meter, ultrasonic level measurment cablesefc).
  • Mechanical work (fittings, valves, surge vessel,.. etc)
Construction Cost: 3,750,000 $
