The project aimed at conducting an Environmental Impact Assessment for the Automobile Assembly Plant by Ayass Motors Company (AMC). Motor vehicle assembly plants combine automotive parts from equipment manufacturers to produce finished vehicles for sale to consumers. Once they have assembled the components of the vehicle body, the body goes through a series of coating operations Series of potential environmental impacts that may appear as a result of project implementation were considered. In addition, mitigative measures that can eliminate or minimize negative impacts of waste handling on health and environment were recommended. Overall assessment of the possible environmental impacts of the proposed vehicle assembly plant was done as well as identifying which activities are likely to give rise to significant adverse impacts. Based on the assessment, proper mitigation and management measures were recommended. The study considered both direct and indirect environmental impacts of the project at all stages (construction, operation, and decommissioning).
