Scope of Contract: Comprehensive Flood Protection Study of the Hewanorra International Airport and its Environs and the George F. L. Charles Airport
The assignment is to conduct a pre-feasibility study and analysis of engineering mitigation and drainage options for control of flooding at both airports (Hewanorra International Airport and George F. L. Charles Airport). The analysis will include the development of baseline data supporting engineering interventions based on a 100 year storm return period. Additionally, the consulting firm shall identify any effects anticipated to adjacent activities such as highway transportation, traffic, and land use activities and shall provide representative costs for each option considered for both design and construction phases, together with a cost benefit analysis for each option identified.
