Objective:
The non-Syrian NGOs under contract with DFID are operating relief programmes on behalf of the UK government and are providing a wide-range of humanitarian goods and services, including settling refugees in camps and providing temporary accommodations, such as shelters, blankets, food, and
other basic comfort items; providing education to children unable to attend a normal school program, along with school supplies (e.g., books, bags, stationery); offering “new mother kits” and newborn items to mothers who have recently given birth; and providing basic emergency medicine and pain
relief to those injured in conflict or during travel.
