Project Description:
The JEM Shopping Mall, located in Jurong East is the first lifestyle hub in Singapore’s west where mid to mid-plus shopping meets entertainment and is Singapore’s third largest suburban mall housing 214 units.
Service Overview: CTBH was retained by Lend Lease to provide expert planning support in an extension of time claim submitted by its structural works sub-contractor. CTBH’s role was to provide an independent assessment report on the merits of the submitted claim and provide an impartial opinion as to whether the extension of time awarded by Lend Lease was a fair and reasonable assessment.
During the course of the assignment the sub-contractor in question submitted a notice of adjudication under the Security of Payment Act and the CTBH independent assessment report was developed into an expert report for the purpose of the adjudication.
The matter was successfully negotiated and a settlement reached between Lend Lease and its sub-contractor prior to the adjudication hearing.
