Description of analysis: to determine what volume of "green" heat and electricity and at what cost could be actually produced from renewable sources in the Lithuanian district heating (DH) sector by producing heat and electricity in cogeneration plants. The maximum development of renewable energy sources (RES) in the Lithuanian district heating sector would significantly contribute to the goal of Lithuania's energy independence, strengthen the country's economy and create substantial environmental benefits.
