About

The Indian Institute of Youth Welfare is a development organisation which started its journey in the field of development in 1973, considering ‘Youth’ as a centre point for development. In over 40 years, the institute has made history in the field of development, setting an example for NGOs and CBOs in the country. IIYW is a regional organisation serving the districts of Nagpur, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Yavatmal and Akola in Maharashtra. IIYW believes that young people, their benefactors, and others engaged in the process of social change and development play a crucial role in shaping society. Therefore, the institute runs several need-based projects, programmes and training courses, in particular in the areas of women and youth empowerment, children's rights, health, environment and community building.
