GAL ELORO has been involved in sustainable rural development since 1998, and has participated in many cooperation activities since its establishment and has distinguished itself above all in the planning and management of integrated local development initiatives and sustainability interventions in the rural area, such as in the case of the activation of participated technical tables on specific agri-food supply chains; or, again, the creation of local networks and districts, to support the production chains and the integration of the production / processing / marketing phases of agri-food products of the local agricultural economy; or to encourage the production chains of typical local quality products (oil, wine, almond, different fruit and vegetable products with PGI, PDO, etc.) and direct sales of products.

The action of the Gal Eloro is divided into two macro-areas: the one closely linked to the support of local economies (agricultural and agri-food, artisanal, tourism, cultural, social, environmental, SMEs, etc.) and that relating to cooperation with others territories in interterritorial, interregional and transnational fields.
