The Peruvian Center for Social Studies is a private non-profit institution, founded in 1976 specialized in agricultural and rural development issues. Its fundamental purpose is to improve the living and production conditions of farmers and rural people, seeking to promote the consolidation of a more democratic and just Peruvian society. CEPES Mission To promote and support the processes of sustainable socioeconomic development of rural spaces and the leading role that corresponds to family and peasant farmers. This, with a broad political commitment to democracy, decentralization and the inclusion of the country within the framework of a fair and equitable world order, and taking into account the challenges of globalization.
