BRAC - South Sudan

We have been working in hard-to-reach communities across 25 counties of South Sudan. In the last quarter of 2016, we had to scale down our programme coverage to Juba following countrywide security concerns.

Prior to scaling down, we transferred more than 6,000 BRAC school graduates into public schools. In 2017, we signed agreements with The Women Union, Madral Development Organisation and State Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry to provide livelihood training to 300 girls through our adolescent clubs. We are also providing healthcare services to communities to reduce maternal and under-five mortality and morbidity through a network of health workers.
