On December 20, 1996, EGSP - Energia e Sistemas de Potência Lda was created, with the purpose of elaborating studies, projects and consultancy in the area of electrical engineering. Since then EGSP has been developing and implementing solutions to meet the needs of an increasingly demanding and dynamic electricity market, both inside and outside the Portuguese market.

EGSP solutions always aim at the balance for our Clients in the cost-benefit ratio, taking into account:

• Increased transport capacity while maintaining voltage levels;
  
• Reduction of support dimensions at ground level, distances between conductors and between guard cables;
  
• Reducing the visual impact of airlines;
  
• Reduction of electromagnetic fields in the vicinity of overhead lines;
  
• Design of power lines for use within the concept of the channel space.
  

Within the scope of the Electric Airline Projects, EGSP provides engineering services for:

• High and extra-high voltage lines of electric power transmission systems
  
• High-voltage power distribution lines
  
• Medium voltage lines of the electric power distribution network
