WEL Group began in 2001, as a holdings company with a single subsidiary, Waltereduam Company Limited. Walteredaum Company Limited is a company established in the year 2001 by a business mogul named Mr Joseph Eduam in the central region under a holding company (WEL Group). The company was set in motion as a family business which employed four professionals at the time. This number included civil and building engineers, artisans and some casual workers. The main objective of the business was tailored along building affordable housing units for the people of Cape Coast, undertaking renovation works, maintenance and the repairs of domestic and commercial properties. The company which is solely owned by Ghanaians was incorporated in 2005 as Waltereduam Company Limited - a private limited liability company under the Companies Code 1963. As a result of consistency in excellence, the company obtained government certification under Financial class 'D1K1' Ministry of Water Resource, Works and house. It has to its credit completion of government projects i.e. civil and building works, since its certification. With a team of dedicated and selfless working staff, the company currently operates as a subsidiary of WEL Group.

STEDGE Limited, a subsidiary of WEL Group is a Facility Management, Project Management and Quantity Surveying consulting firm. This thriving company was established to meet all property, project and project cost management needs of clients. The company registered as part of the group operates as a consulting firm on all internal and external contracts. STEDGE Limited's contribution to the group has had very significant effects on the general performance of the other subsidiaries and continues to build a formidable team of professionals.

Cleangood Services Limited, currently a subsidiary company of WEL Group, was a unit commissioned under Waltereduam Company Limited in 2001. This unit was responsible for all pre and post construction cleaning for all company projects. The unit over the years expanded in capacity and eventually had to branch out as a separate company. This transition was based on the company's huge clientele base. Management recognized the prospect in the cleaning industry and registered Cleangood Services Limited in December, 2015, to operate fully as a cleaning company. This was the genesis of the company's commercial operation.
